Cannot Believe it!

Today is Monday, August 25. My previous post is at Monday, August 18! I didn’t posy anything for a week. That I cannot believe. I guess I been so busy that didn’t realize it. But fortunately it seems there is no one out there who reads my blog. Why do I bother with this blog then you ask? (I ask myself actually!) Well, I like writing ideas that come to my mind. As simple as that! But I should be more consistent. Consistency (is some areas) is what I lack. You see, here is another plus for writing the blog. I practice being consistent at something.

I finished "I saw Ramallah" few days ago. I was sincerely touched when I finished it. I will write more on that when I am in the mood.

I started reading "All the Shah’s Men" . I really like it. But with reading every paragraph of it, I get angrier firstly at previous Shahs of Iran, especially Qajars (Ghajars). Those morons. Secondly, I get madder at British imperialists of old days sucking Iran’s resources. Those bastards. Well, I don’t stay mad of course. That is our history. The best and most important thing we could do it learn from it.

Anyways, I should get back to work.

Peace

Oh God I am Lazy!

I don’t like it, but it is true: I am quite lazy. But I have started working on it, and I am proud to say that I have made some progress and I am less lazy than before! So, I am getting there, slowly but surely.
I haven’t really had the chance to continue with the Evolution vs. Revolution piece (or is it laziness?) but I will write the Round 2 part soon. I really like the subject and I think it is very important for us Iranians seeking changes in Iran to understand the issue of revolution or evolution and have a good idea on how to deal with it. So more on that is coming very soon.
Also recently I have been reading That Broken Girl, by Sepi. A very interesting blog. I truly like her writing.

Well, that’s all for now folks…

Round 1: Evolution vs. Revolution

As long as I remember, whenever there was a gathering or a party, especially with family friends, at least half of the conversations have been about Iran; Back in the day about its economical and social issues, and these days about its political and social issues. This of course is natural since I was born almost two years after revolution of 1979 and since then, many people, at different levels wanted to help rebuild the country. Make it not be a third world country no more. But after about two decades, the main issue is the change of the government. The reason, you ask, simple. With current government and its structure, there is no hope for improvements and developments in Iran. Most of the authorities are so sadly uneducated and inexperienced in what they do. Why am I trying to explain this, I can just say it is pure dictatorship in Iran, and the people in charge are unjust, unqualified, and unintelligent. But normal Iranians are not like that. Many of them want democracy, freedom of speech, equal rights, and etc. So, we want to make changes in the government and political structure of Iran. But these kinds of changes could come through revolution or evolution. So the questions are, which one is better, which one is more likely to happen, and what should be done if any of the two happens.

But considering that I am at work right now and better get back to work, I will start Round 2 at lunch break and talk about which one is better and why.

For now,
Peace…

So many things to do, so little time!

I realized that there are so many things I want to do, but I feel I don't have enough time for all of them. Now, there are two possibilities. Either I don't manage my time well, even though I have lived this life for 21 years now, or I am not patient enough. Actually, make that three possibilities the third one being there are indeed many many things I would like to do, but there is simply not enough time and energy for them all. So what should I do? How about making a list of the most important ones and go from there? Sounds good I think. I was going to write few of them now, but I realized that I cannot come up with a good order. So I will “the” list later perhaps.

Have to run now.

Cheers

Oh How Pathetic

In the BBC news website I read this morning that one Israeli Jew has been arrested since he had told the police that he didn’t mind having Sharon killed. I always find it interesting and more importantly encouraging when I hear Israelis criticizing their government for their brutal and cruel acts, such as destroying Palestinians houses or killing peace activists in the West Bank. So I was happy by reading the news until I read the last (short) paragraph. It said the Israeli hard liners don’t mind assassinate Sharon since he is in peace talks with Palestinians and is agreeing on having a independent Palestinian state!!!! Now you tell me, who are the BASTARDS here? If those hard liners in Israel, who I don’t have any clue how popular they are, don’t want to accept a Palestinian state, how the hell do they think they are going to have peace? Do they even care? I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t. As long as they have full and unconditional support of their big brother (USA), why would they want to care? Bastards…

And if USA really is after peace in the world and wants to be the world's police force, as they spend billions to “liberate” Iraqis, then they should stop the unconditional support of Israelis and be fair, just to both sides, and realistic. Then we have a chance for peace.

Important Lesson of Life: Be Aggressive

No, you didn’t make a mistake. The title says “Be aggressive”. It might sound harsh, but in this life, if one really wants something, he/she has to be aggressive most of the time. You could get lucky once in a while and get what you want quite easily (lottery), but most of the time, you have to work hard for it. You have to really want it. You have to be aggressive. Not rude, nor unfair, nor violent. Just go after what you want with passion and heart.

Most Iranians, like me, want changed in Iran. They want true democracy. Well, it is going to be a hard path to walk through. It is very less likely that you wake up tomorrow morning and hear in the news that the current government and authorities have just disappeared. So us Iranians should be more aggressive in what we want I think. Again, not violent, but aggressive. I think they could be different.

That’s all for now…

Guess who is back, back again...

Finally, after two days of running around, begging the guy to give me a new IP address, and installing and reinstalling softwares, I am here. My computer is UP and running. Feels amazing to have internet back.

It is Friday AGAIN. Feels like last Friday was just yesterday, and two Fridays ago was the day before yesterday. This damn time does fly. We should think about this seriously. We should be careful to use the time wisely. I know many of you out there do. But me, and perhaps some other people aren't as careful as should be. So I am just reminding myself more than anybody else by posting this.

Peace

A valuable lesson learnt the hard way!

My father kept telling me, I should have a vision and a plan of what I want to do and become since I was in high school. When do I realize how important what he says is? Just in the past few month when I was finishing my undergrad. A day does not pass by without me wishing that somehow time could go back and I could be at the first year of college again. Oh there are so many things that I would have done, and there are many more that I wouldn't have done. But, seriously, what is the point of wishing for the time to go back. Has never happened, doesn't happen, and will never happen. But why I wish for it to happen everyday? Well, it reminds me to think about my decisions not just twice, but few times. To consider what I say or do with more care. And most important of all, listen to my father's advises more carefully!!! Simply put, I am valuing the time now, and choose my actions hopefully more wisely, so again hopefully I wouldn't have to wish for time to go back later in my life.

Cheers...

An amazing book!

I am close to finishing this book and I couldn't wait till I finish it to recommend it. The title is "I Saw Ramallah" by Mourid Barghouti, translated to English by Ahdaf Soueif. Simply put, it is an amazing book. It is about barghouti's journey back to Palestine after 30 years, and also on the side, he talks about historical events as well. I highly recommend it.

Long time no post!

I has been almost a month since I posted my last post!! (I like this word "post". it is an interesting word, "post"! anyways...)
Well there is really no excuse. So here is another promise: At least one post every day, even if it is going to be two lines. And we see what happens after that.
