Round 1: Evolution vs. Revolution

As long as I remember, whenever there was a gathering or a party, especially with family friends, at least half of the conversations have been about Iran; Back in the day about its economical and social issues, and these days about its political and social issues. This of course is natural since I was born almost two years after revolution of 1979 and since then, many people, at different levels wanted to help rebuild the country. Make it not be a third world country no more. But after about two decades, the main issue is the change of the government. The reason, you ask, simple. With current government and its structure, there is no hope for improvements and developments in Iran. Most of the authorities are so sadly uneducated and inexperienced in what they do. Why am I trying to explain this, I can just say it is pure dictatorship in Iran, and the people in charge are unjust, unqualified, and unintelligent. But normal Iranians are not like that. Many of them want democracy, freedom of speech, equal rights, and etc. So, we want to make changes in the government and political structure of Iran. But these kinds of changes could come through revolution or evolution. So the questions are, which one is better, which one is more likely to happen, and what should be done if any of the two happens.

But considering that I am at work right now and better get back to work, I will start Round 2 at lunch break and talk about which one is better and why.

For now,
Peaceā€¦
